A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this ancient Roman city was buried under pumice and ash during the volcanic eruption of 79 AD. Today, Pompeii looks frozen in time, offering glimpses of fossilised people, preserved baths, crumbling columns, and fabulous frescoes. Campi Flegrei Railway Station is 6.5 Km away from the port and served by taxi.
